Environment
At Fortnox we are conscious about the environmental footprint and strive to reduce it. To do so we break-down emissions into the different stages of any Fortnox product.
Manufacturing
Over the past decades, Fortnox achieved significant reductions in emissions and established significant improvements in production processes and material usage with the goal to reduce the environmental footprint.
Toxic substances removal.
Designing greener products means considering the environmental impact of the materials used to make them. At Fortnox we have removed toxic substances from our products such as arsenic, brominated flame retardants (BFRs), mercury, phthalates, and polyvinyl chloride wherever possible. Our products are in compliance with the "Restriction Of Hazardous Substances" direction ROHS. All raw-materials and components have to comply with the directive Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH).
Responsible manufacturing.
We are comitted to provide a safe working environment to our workers and treat them with respect at all times. We have implemented that into our corporate culture and lived up to those standards over decades. With regular factory audits we also monitor if suppliers of components and raw-materials live up to our high standards.
Logistics
Moving millions of products around the globe produces environmental stress. We are determined to keep that impact to a minimum by designing special light weight and low volume packagings. By controlling timelines with diligence thoughout the entire production process mangement we ensure that a majority of our products can be shipped via environmental friendly sea shipment instead of shipping via air.
